TEA
4-1 The defending champs dropped a game to NFZ, but got right back on track with two big wins. TEAL CURTAIN doesn’t have a true big, but their overall avg team height and hustle makes them tough in the paint. Five players are scoring in double-digits right now.
(+2) SKW 3-1 SK WAR DOG (G) Kash Miah is back so what you’re looking at now is one of D2’s most potent offenses, with Miah paired with (G) Vegas Dave Wong. SKW actually has 6 players scoring double-digits.
(+3) ROV
3-1 And speaking of offensive firepower, RICE IN OUR VEINS also has two of D2’s best scorers in (G) Derrick Kung and (F) Sam Lu. The addition of (F) Will Lee gives them a versatile big man, and now with (C) Atif Mustafa on the roster, ROV easily the biggest team in D2.
(-2) NFZ 2-2 NO FLY ZONE can go toe-to-toe with any team scoring-wise, but they also have the defensive personnel to get stops when they need it. But they the former SXP contingent will miss now departed (F) Chris Di, who has moved away. There is no replacement for the former MVP on the roster this season.
(-2) BOM 1-3 There are a lot of new faces on BOMB SQUAD, most of the core is not here for the summer season. So, it’s been a little uneven. There is solid talent on the roster, though, and (C) Manu Menon is a house. But they’ll need to build some chemistry quick to make a run at the title.
(+1) TAP 1-3 TAP NY (C) Elorm Gbordzoe has brought much needed help in the paint. But dynamic duo (G) Will Chu & (G) John Hsu are putting up uncharacteristically low scoring numbers this season. All teams will get into the playoffs, so there’s still time to turn it around.
(-2) RAR 1-4 RAINING ROSEBUDS got a win last week, but they don’t move up because their roster still isn’t set (four subs played in their win vs NFZ). They’re the only team with two 20-pt scorers on the roster, but they’re running out of time to get enough eligible players for playoffs.

3RD DIVISION (SUNDAYS)

Rank Team Record Comments
(=) NFZ
4-0 NO FLY ZONE OG continues on their unbeaten streak, leading with D3’s best defense, and finishing out games with clutch crunch time play, particularly on the defensive end. It hasn’t been a strong offensive season, but their defense will always give them a chance to win.
(+1) NFU
5-0 The way they’ve plastered teams in their last 3 wins may mean that recent roster adds have put NY FALCONS U. out of the D3 level of play. No teams have a player the size of (F) George Casale, let alone two with rookie (C) Mack Witherspoon. We’ll have to see how this plays out.
(+2) TED
3-1 TED TALKS has quietly put up a good showing with key wins vs JPU and LAR all but ensuring a playoff berth now. (F) Sam Kang has been solid and new add (G) Y.J. Gahng looked good in his debut.
(-2) JPU
2-2 As with most teams during the summer season, JAPAN UNITED has struggled with attendance, particularly in their last two losses. When they have their full roster, they’re a contender, so don’t get cocky, kid.
(-1) STR
2-3 The magic has worn off a little for STREET DREAMS, but they still have the league’s best scorer in (G) Miguel Melbourne and a perennial top defender in (F) Neil Dumadag. Maybe their laying low until playoffs but sleep on this team at your own risk.
(+2) BIL
1-4 BALL IS LIFE got a crucial win vs LAR to help their efforts to secure a playoff berth, the tie-breaker may be the difference. (G) Sean He is as good as it gets in D3, and now imagine if their big man hadn’t moved away. Still, making the playoffs would be a big achievement for BIL.
(-2)
LAR
1-4 At this point, LARRY THE CABLE GUY’S KIDS will have to win at least one of the next two games to even have a chance at the playoffs. And it won’t be easy with JPU and NFU in the pipeline. But this is a team with all the pieces to make a title run. They just gotta get them all together.
(-1) GOO 0-4 GOON SQUAD isn’t out of it yet, but it’s a steep uphill climb from here on out. If they lose to BIL, it’s over. Getting that win is the only way they have a chance. (G) Charles Zheng has been great this season, but GOO needs help on offense to make any kind of run.
