1ST DIVISION
THE BEST
⬆️ 1) Gawd Sham-Gawds (4-1): The loss against WHO was surprising, but GAW is the only team with two Top 4 wins.
⬇️ 2) Sticky’s Finger Joint (3-1): Solid win last week vs bigger SPA. Lots of wing players around the same height, great versatility here.
⬇️ 3) Honey Badgers (4-1): They picked up a forfeit win last week, so they’re still on track. (F) Kieran Brennan‘s efficient scoring has been key.
🔁 4) Shut ‘Em Down (4-1): Two consecutive wins with (G) Terrance Bostick out. (G) Courteney Tabron has returned to MVP form.
THE REST
⬆️ 5) Who’s Got Next? (3-2): Two straight wins, one vs GAW, has WHO on the move. Not coincidentally, (G) Emery Clark found his jumper.
⬇️ 6) NYK Spartans (3-2): Tough loss to SFJ, but the Spartans are still in the hunt. And (F) Young Song showed flashes of his previous MVP form.
⬇️ 7) Age Up There (3-2): AGE (F) Joe Vines may be the toughest paint defender in D1, which will suit them will in the playoffs.
⬆️ 8) Premature Shooters (1-4): The Shooters’ roster is better than their record, but they need to pick up some wins to create separation for a playoff spot.
⬇️ 9) PWC Vino (1-4): Injuries and two forfeit losses are starting to ruin what was a decent start and a good looking roster.
🔁 11) Free Agents (0-5): It’s been a tough season for the Agents, it just hasn’t clicked for whatever reason. The talent is there.
🔁 10) Cookies & Kareem (1-4): Cookies went 1-1, both on forfeits since the Week 4 PR.
2ND DIVISION
THE BEST
🔁 1) Bomb Squad (5-0): This team is a powerhouse and it starts on the defensive end. Bomb Squad is the gold standard this season.
⬆️ 3) NYC Gritty Committee (4-1): Three straight wins now, Gritty seems to find a way to upgrade every season.
⬇️ 2) Uncle Bought a Cow (4-1): Tough loss to BOM last week. They have depth and balance. Scoring vs top defenses is the issue, but that’s everybody.
🔁 4) YOLO (3-1): This veteran squad tends to play their games close. Good effort vs NGC, but fell just short. Could have jumped up some spots.
THE REST
⬆️ 5) Guard Me Maybe (2-3): Maybes finally turning it around, winning two straight. (F) Brian Law 22.5 ppg, 7 rpg, 3.5 spg in those decisions.
⬇️ 6) G7 (2-3): Tough overtime loss to GMM or we might be talking about G7 as a dark horse contender.
⬇️ 7) Boogie Knights (2-3): Knights have some of the most exciting new players in D2, but the loss to BOM was a little humbling.
🔁 8) The Unit (1-4): The loss to BOK leaves the door open for a team to steal the 8th spot away from UNT.
🔁 9) Wolfpack (1-3): Well-earned first win of the season two weeks ago. (F) Kadeem Glover and (F) Shawn Lee are a tough 1-2 punch.
🔁 10) New York (0-5): A UNT loss means NEW is at least mathematically able to still win a playoff seed. But realistically, the odds are very slim.
3RD DIVISION
WESTERN CONFERENCE
⬆️ 1) NYK Red Devils (4-1): Two clutch wins in a row, including one vs previously undefeated SPR in a possible WC championship preview.
⬇️ 1) Spaghetti Ramen (4-1): Ramen probably feels like they should’ve gone 2-0 since Week 4, but the win vs 30F was a solid recovery.
⬇️ 3) 30-for-30 (3-2): Tough loss to SPR will drop the 30s this week, but they’re still a title contender.
🔁 4) OMB (3-2): They haven’t beaten a true contender yet, so until then, we’ll have to wait and see.
🔁 5) Paw Patrol (2-3): They’re 0-3 since moving from the East, but effort vs RED shows potential. (G) Antonio Cuadrado scoring 26 ppg on 62% FGs this season.
⬆️ 6) Wolverines (2-3): Much-needed win last week to keep the playoff race interesting.
⬆️ 7) Yieldmo (2-3): Only one game since Week 4, a loss, but they’re still in the mix.
⬇️ 8) Pnest1 (1-3): Whatever they had cooking last season seems to have turned for the worse. PS1 has to get fresh again real quick.
EASTERN CONFERENCE
🔁 1) Smash N Bounce (4-0): No changes here, the Bounce is still the team to beat in the East. A legitimate contender to win it all.
🔁 2) No Fly Zone Ultra (4-0): Flyers are a good step down from SNB, but the crafty vets know how to get it done come playoff time.
🔁 3) Supreme Team (3-1): If this veteran roster can keep this going, they may finish this season as EC champs and legitimate D3 contenders.
🔁 4) Three 6 Latvia (2-3): The Latvians continue to win the games they need to win to secure a playoff spot. (F) Robert Pozoga putting up strong #s.
🔁 5) The Renegades (2-3): Much-needed win to stay ahead of this playoff race. This is a big front-line will pay off in the playoffs.
🔁 6) #69 Chicken & Broccoli (1-3): CNB has some solid pieces here, but they haven’t quite found what clicks for them yet as a team.
🔁 7) Lakeshow (0-4): Looked solid in their last two games, there is no lack of effort. Consistent scoring has been their weakness this season.
🔁 8) Wildcats (0-5): Good effort vs T6L shows progress. Hopefully, Week 6 bye gives them a chance to redouble their efforts.
