Win ’19 Week 6 Power Rankings (Weeknights)

1ST DIVISION

THE BEST

⬆️ 1) Gawd Sham-Gawds (4-1): The loss against WHO was surprising, but GAW is the only team with two Top 4 wins.

⬇️ 2) Sticky’s Finger Joint (3-1): Solid win last week vs bigger SPA. Lots of wing players around the same height, great versatility here.

⬇️ 3) Honey Badgers (4-1): They picked up a forfeit win last week, so they’re still on track. (F) Kieran Brennan‘s efficient scoring has been key.

🔁 4) Shut ‘Em Down (4-1): Two consecutive wins with (G) Terrance Bostick out. (G) Courteney Tabron has returned to MVP form.

THE REST

⬆️ 5) Who’s Got Next? (3-2): Two straight wins, one vs GAW, has WHO on the move. Not coincidentally, (G) Emery Clark found his jumper.

⬇️ 6) NYK Spartans (3-2): Tough loss to SFJ, but the Spartans are still in the hunt. And (F) Young Song showed flashes of his previous MVP form.

⬇️ 7) Age Up There (3-2): AGE (F) Joe Vines may be the toughest paint defender in D1, which will suit them will in the playoffs.

⬆️ 8) Premature Shooters (1-4): The Shooters’ roster is better than their record, but they need to pick up some wins to create separation for a playoff spot.

⬇️ 9) PWC Vino (1-4): Injuries and two forfeit losses are starting to ruin what was a decent start and a good looking roster.

🔁 11) Free Agents (0-5): It’s been a tough season for the Agents, it just hasn’t clicked for whatever reason. The talent is there.

🔁 10) Cookies & Kareem (1-4): Cookies went 1-1, both on forfeits since the Week 4 PR.

2ND DIVISION

THE BEST

🔁 1) Bomb Squad (5-0): This team is a powerhouse and it starts on the defensive end. Bomb Squad is the gold standard this season.

⬆️ 3) NYC Gritty Committee (4-1): Three straight wins now, Gritty seems to find a way to upgrade every season.

⬇️ 2) Uncle Bought a Cow (4-1): Tough loss to BOM last week. They have depth and balance. Scoring vs top defenses is the issue, but that’s everybody.

🔁 4) YOLO (3-1): This veteran squad tends to play their games close. Good effort vs NGC, but fell just short. Could have jumped up some spots.

THE REST

⬆️ 5) Guard Me Maybe (2-3): Maybes finally turning it around, winning two straight. (F) Brian Law 22.5 ppg, 7 rpg, 3.5 spg in those decisions.

⬇️ 6) G7 (2-3): Tough overtime loss to GMM or we might be talking about G7 as a dark horse contender.

⬇️ 7) Boogie Knights (2-3): Knights have some of the most exciting new players in D2, but the loss to BOM was a little humbling.

🔁 8) The Unit (1-4): The loss to BOK leaves the door open for a team to steal the 8th spot away from UNT.

🔁 9) Wolfpack (1-3): Well-earned first win of the season two weeks ago. (F) Kadeem Glover and (F) Shawn Lee are a tough 1-2 punch.

🔁 10) New York (0-5): A UNT loss means NEW is at least mathematically able to still win a playoff seed. But realistically, the odds are very slim.

3RD DIVISION

WESTERN CONFERENCE

⬆️ 1) NYK Red Devils (4-1): Two clutch wins in a row, including one vs previously undefeated SPR in a possible WC championship preview.

⬇️ 1) Spaghetti Ramen (4-1): Ramen probably feels like they should’ve gone 2-0 since Week 4, but the win vs 30F was a solid recovery.

⬇️ 3) 30-for-30 (3-2): Tough loss to SPR will drop the 30s this week, but they’re still a title contender.

🔁 4) OMB (3-2): They haven’t beaten a true contender yet, so until then, we’ll have to wait and see.

🔁 5) Paw Patrol (2-3): They’re 0-3 since moving from the East, but effort vs RED shows potential. (G) Antonio Cuadrado scoring 26 ppg on 62% FGs this season.

⬆️ 6) Wolverines (2-3): Much-needed win last week to keep the playoff race interesting.

⬆️ 7) Yieldmo (2-3): Only one game since Week 4, a loss, but they’re still in the mix.

⬇️ 8) Pnest1 (1-3): Whatever they had cooking last season seems to have turned for the worse. PS1 has to get fresh again real quick.

EASTERN CONFERENCE

🔁 1) Smash N Bounce (4-0): No changes here, the Bounce is still the team to beat in the East. A legitimate contender to win it all.

🔁 2) No Fly Zone Ultra (4-0): Flyers are a good step down from SNB, but the crafty vets know how to get it done come playoff time.

🔁 3) Supreme Team (3-1): If this veteran roster can keep this going, they may finish this season as EC champs and legitimate D3 contenders.

🔁 4) Three 6 Latvia (2-3): The Latvians continue to win the games they need to win to secure a playoff spot. (F) Robert Pozoga putting up strong #s.

🔁 5) The Renegades (2-3): Much-needed win to stay ahead of this playoff race. This is a big front-line will pay off in the playoffs.

🔁 6) #69 Chicken & Broccoli (1-3): CNB has some solid pieces here, but they haven’t quite found what clicks for them yet as a team.

🔁 7) Lakeshow (0-4): Looked solid in their last two games, there is no lack of effort. Consistent scoring has been their weakness this season.

🔁 8) Wildcats (0-5): Good effort vs T6L shows progress. Hopefully, Week 6 bye gives them a chance to redouble their efforts.

Win ’19 Week 4 Power Rankings (Sundays)

2ND DIVISION

THE BEST

⬆️ 1) United Nations (3-0): Balanced veteran team is looking like the aspirational standard right now. Joseph Bassey 💪💪💪.

THE REST

🔁 2) Thank U, Next (2-1): Strong guard play will pace the U. They should move up to contender status soon.

⬇️ 3) Long Twos (2-1): After a shocking loss to TUN, the Twos have to drop to 3. But they’ve looked good otherwise.

⬆️ 4) Shawn Kemp’s Kids (2-2): Walsh and Hecht are as good as a scoring 1-2 punch as you’ll find, but defense here is lacking.

⬆️ 5) Make It Reign Man (2-2): Strong defensive team anchored by Def MVP candidate Manu Menon, but scoring has been inconsistent.

⬇️ 6) Teal Curtain (2-2): They’ve had a tough schedule, but have looked good in spurts. Could move up very easily.

⬇️ 7) Raining Rosebuds (0-3): Darren Seto is still putting up MVP-type numbers, but this 0-3 start is still shocking.

🔁 8) League of Ex-Senators (0-2): They lost a decent debut effort, and then forfeited in Week 4. Still too soon to tell anything here.

3RD DIVISION

THE BEST

⬆️ 1) Swish Cheese (3-0): The Sunday edition of Smash N Bounce is looking unbeatable right now.

⬇️ 2) 50 Shades of Klay (2-1): Sometimes you can have too many cooks in the kitchen. This might be one of those times.

⬆️ 3) TAP NY (2-1): When Will Chu and Kyle Wilson are making 3FGs, this team is an offensive juggernaut.

THE REST

⬇️ 4) No Fly Zone OG (2-1): DNPs reared their ugly heads again in Week 4, but even at full strength, NFZ might not have beat SWC.

🔁 5) Thunder (1-2): Two losses mean they don’t move up yet, but a win vs defending champion 50S means they’re trending that way.

⬆️ 6) Team Sky (3-0): A two-slot bump for a 3-0 record might be too little, but one quality W vs the Top 5 and they’re contenders.

⬆️ 7) Baby Whales (1-3): More balanced scoring this season is good, the Whales should be able to clinch a playoff spot this season.

⬇️ 8) OMB (1-3): This is back-to-back 30+ point losses for a former contender. It’s baffling considering the talent on the roster.

⬆️ 9) Goon Squad (1-2): Raghu Vaidyanathan has been a force in the defensive paint, but will that mean a playoff spot this season?

⬇️ 10) Ball Is Life (0-3): Two winnable games early on, and the back court has been balling, but playoffs are a tough climb now.

1ST DIVISION

THE BEST

⬆️ 1) Sticky’s Finger Joint (2-0): Scary deep roster of athletic scorers and opportunistic defenders.

⬇️ 2) Honey Badgers (3-1): Short-handed loss to SFJ won’t drop them far. As deep a roster as HON has ever had.

⬆️ 3) Gawd Sham-Gawds (3-0): Convincing win over SED showed a balanced roster. We have a new contender.

⬇️ 4) Shut ‘Em Down (3-1): Solid bounce-back win over WHO keeps ’em in the Top 4.

⬇️ 5) NYK Spartans (2-1): Tough win over AGE highlights their ability to win in the clutch, also that formidable front-court.

THE REST

⬇️ 6) Age Up There (2-2): They probably believe they should be 3-1, expect AGE to push their way back up into the Top 5.

⬇️ 7) PWC Vino (1-3): As tight as this playoff race looks, they can’t afford forfeit losses like in Week 4.

⬇️ 8) Who’s Got Next? (1-2): They need (G) Emery Clark to break out of this shooting slump real quick.

⬆️ 9) Premature Shooters (1-2): Rookie (G) Liam Monaghan is emerging as a big-time scorer at this level.

⬇️ 10) Free Agents (0-3): The pieces have all been there, but for whatever reason, the chemistry hasn’t this season.

🔁 11) Cookies & Kareem (0-3): Luckily, there are many teams with only 1 win, but COO needs some Ws now to stay in the playoff hunt.

2ND DIVISION

THE BEST

⬆️ 1) Bomb Squad (3-0): The defending Sunday champs are clicking on all cylinders, and it starts on D.

⬆️ 2) Uncle Bought a Cow (4-0): Cowboys are legit, And balanced; rookie (F) Danny Eiber fits in well with 4 other double-digit scorers.

⬇️ 3) NYC Gritty Committee (2-1): The reg season has never been the priority for Gritty, but BOM should have their attention now.

⬆️ 4) YOLO (3-0): This grit & grind squad has pulled off 3 tough wins. Now to pull one from a Top 5 team.

THE REST

⬇️ 5) G7 (2-1): Great scoring from the (G) position, but they’ll have to beat a Top 4 team to go up any further from here.

⬆️ 6) Boogie Knights (1-2): They might look like the Bad News Bears, but these guys will shock you and we’re here for it.

⬆️ 7) The Unit (1-2): Pieces all here, just have to keep putting up cohesive efforts. (F) Adrian Shorter is showing out.

⬇️ 8) Guard Me Maybe (0-3): Confounded by this 0-3 start from the perennial contenders. Maybes are uncertain.

🔁 9) Wolfpack (0-3): An impressive effort pushing UBC to OT looks like a good sign of things to come.

⬇️ 10) New York (0-4): Haven’t had the same edge as past seasons and a forfeit loss doesn’t help. They have to turn it around quickly.

3RD DIVISION

WESTERN CONFERENCE

⬆️ 1) Spaghetti Ramen (3-0): Guess who’s back atop the standings? For this undersized squad, team rebounding is key.

⬆️ 2) 30-for-30 (3-1): Now that (F) Joseph Han is healthy, 30F has a Big 3 with (G/F) Adam Wang playing this well.

⬇️ 3) NYK Red Devils (3-1): This team is stacked, but with a short bench, one DNP can make a huge difference.

⬆️ 4) OMB (2-2): This team really has too many good players to be 2-2.

⬇️ 5) Paw Patrol (2-2): First 2 wins were fool’s gold. (G) Antonio Cuadrado is carrying a heavy load. Other guys need to step up.

❌ 6) Pnest1 (1-2): (G) Vegas Dave Wong (29.7 ppg) continues to torch the opposition, but consistent defense has been a problem area.

⬇️ 7) Wolverines (1-2): They’ve got balanced scoring, but another short roster means any absences at all can be the difference.

🔁 8) Yieldmo (1-2): There are no bad teams in this conference. This playoff race is going to be a dog fight.

EASTERN CONFERENCE

🔁 1) Smash N Bounce (3-0): SNB (F) Eric Chang is making it look easy right now and the Smash defense is impregnable.

🔁 2) No Fly Zone Ultra (3-0): They haven’t looked great so far, but last season NFZ were 0-3 at this time and then won 7 straight to win the chip.

❌ 3) Supreme Team (2-1): Solid start. SNB is a tough nut to crack, but they’ll probably get another change in the playoffs.

🔁 4) Three 6 Latvia (1-3): Three consistent scorers, solid rebounding, but their defense is down. Should still bounce back to make the playoffs.

🔁 5) The Renegades (1-2): Their bigs are putting up some uh big numbers, they just have to shoot more efficiently as a team now.

🔁 6) #69 Chicken & Broccoli (1-2): CNB (F) Jonathan Person has been a huge lift, the Broccoli may make this playoff race interesting yet.

🔁 7) Lakeshow (0-3): Tough first half schedule, but effort vs the defending champs was solid. Could make a little run here.

🔁 8) Wildcats (0-3): They still need more scoring, but the effort has been solid in their last two. Could be close.
